Bedwars stars & prestige, explained

In Hypixel BedWars your level is called your star, shown next to your name with a number and a symbol like [312✪]. Stars never reset — they just keep climbing — and every 100 stars is a new prestige with its own colour and, at the milestones, an animated style.

How prestige works

The prestige tiers run Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Crystal, Opal and Amethyst, and at 1,000★ you hit the famous animated Rainbowprestige. The star symbol also evolves as you climb (✫ → ✪ → ⚝ → ✶ → ✷ → ✸ → ✹ → ❀), so a player’s tag tells you their rough experience at a glance.

How much EXP a star costs

A full prestige (100 stars) is a flat 487,000 EXP. Inside each prestige the first four stars are cheaper — 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,500 EXP — and every star after that is a flat 5,000 EXP. That’s why the first few stars of a new prestige fly by before settling into a steady grind.

Common questions

Does prestige reset my stats?

No — BedWars prestige is purely cosmetic progression. Your wins, final kills and ratios all carry over untouched.

What’s the highest prestige?

Beyond Rainbow at 1,000★, Hypixel has added further high-star prestige styles, so the very top players display unique animated tags well past a thousand stars.
