Hypixel network leveling, explained
How your Hypixel level is calculated, and what each level really costs.
Your Hypixel levelis a single number that sums up how much you’ve played across the whole network. Every game — BedWars, SkyWars, Murder Mystery, Duels and the rest — awards Network Experience (EXP), and your level is derived from your lifetime total. It’s shown in your chat prefix and on your profile, and it’s the closest thing Hypixel has to an overall “account level.”
The formula
Hypixel uses a smooth curve rather than a lookup table, so a given EXP total always maps to exactly one level:
level = √(2 × EXP + 30,625) / 50 − 2.5
Because the curve is quadratic, each level costs a bit more than the one before. There’s no “prestige reset” — the number just keeps climbing.
What each level costs
A few reference points for the total EXP needed: level 50 ≈ 3.43M, level 100 ≈ 13.1M, and level 200 ≈ 51.2M. So getting from 100 to 200 takes almost three times the EXP of reaching 100 in the first place.

Common questions
Is there a maximum level?
No hard cap — the formula keeps going. The most dedicated players are hundreds of levels deep, which represents hundreds of millions of EXP.
Does my level affect gameplay?
It’s mostly a badge of experience and unlocks some cosmetic perks; it doesn’t give competitive advantages in games.
